Buddha's Enlightenment Annual Overnight Meditation

All Welcome!  This is a completely Silent Event.  Arrive at either 10pm, or midnight.  Meditation will be open & unmonitored.    There will be no instruction available.   Anyone who stays past midnight should stay until the end at 3am (and may sleep afterward in a guest room if needed).

Folks may arrive anytime between 10pm and midnight, take off their shoes & enter the meditation hall,then take a seat on a mat, stool, or kneeling bench.  Participants can leave the hall and go down to the cafe to use the bathroom/drink tea as needed, or walk in the front garden.  Donations welcome & appreciated.

Buddhists & Zen practitioners around the world honor the enlightenment of the historical Buddha, according to the legend that he awakened upon seeing the morning star, on the  morning of the 8th day of the 12th lunar month.  We welcome anyone interested to join us in this special occasion, with a minimum participation of 1 hour.
