About the Event
Join monks from the Detroit Zen Center at the hermitage, with a pebbled shorline on Lake Superior, inside the Porcupine Mountains of the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The retreat will include a daily schedule of morning & evening meditation (with guidance from our Abbot & Zen monk Hwalson Sunim), organic, vegan meals, widlerness walks, and afternoon manual work projects around the property.

This retreat requires a phone interview before registering if you are not currently a member of the Detroit Zen Center.
Retreat participants are welcome to arrive on Thursday and leave on Monday, if desired, for an additional $25 per night, in order to spend a little more time at the Hermitage and in the wilderness.
