Sunday Zen Workshop: Meditation, Talk & Tea, 9:30-11:30am.

INTRO TO ZEN WORKSHOP

Doors open at 9am and close with no entry after 9:50am.

Schedule: 

9:00:  Doors open

9-9:45am  Setup workshop space together.

9:50:  Meditation and Practice Instruction 

10-11am:  Meditation, GratitudeCeremony, Talk and/or reading

11-11:30:  Tea & Discussion in Cafe

GUIDELINES:

-Wear loose fitted clothing in subdued colors.

-Do not wear fragrances, hats, shorts or tank tops.

-Please contact us at least a week in advance if there is financial hardship so we can arrange for you to contribute in other ways.

-The Zen Center is 100% funded by donations from members and guests, and there is no paid staff.  

-The workshop includes use of meditation mats, kneeling benches, and/or stools.  Please let us know if you have mobility issues so we can arrange to work with you early.

The morning includes setting up the spaces together, then meditaiton instruction, meditation, a talk & then discussion & tea together in the cafe, guided by a zen monk or student.  A  greeter will be out in front by 9am. Look for the blue door on Casmere Street, at the corner of Mitchell.   Street parking is available, but there is no parking lot.
