Zen Stay: 3 Day Meditation & Urban Ecology Retreat

Held at the Detroit Zen Center, Zen Stay Urban Ecology Retreats are hosted by zen monks and students. They are an opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a zen monks for 2 or 3 days. The weekend is tech free. No cellphones, laptops, smartwatches or tablets allowed on site or accessed during retreat period. Emergency contact phone is available for duration of retreat. The radically simple and healthy schedule and lack of devices is a way to unplug and allow us to appreciate life as it is, and each present moment. Guests can let go of external obligations while enjoying a simple daily lifestyle. Taking care of our green roof and public peace/rain garden and grounds is a featured part of the retreat, as are vegan farm to table meals.
